A warm welcome to my blog.
A childhood love of wild plants and nature, and a desire not to use pharmaceutical drugs led me to train as a herbalist in later life. I’m proud to say that I have been a herbalist and natural healer for over 20 years. I’ve helped many people in my clinic to be healthier and happier by using herbs, nutritional therapy, superfoods, reflexology, and reiki. Everyone would like improved energy levels, clearer skin, bright eyes and to feel calm and grounded. I wholeheartedly believe Mother Nature can provide us with the means to achieve this.
Why have I started writing this blog? I have a great passion to share my knowledge of healing plants, nutrition and natural therapies to a wider audience. We face so many challenges in today’s world. There is an incredible amount of pollution in the environment and each and every second 310 Kg of toxic chemicals are released into our atmosphere, land and water by industrial facilities around the world and of these, over 2 million tons (over 4.5 billion pounds) per year are recognized carcinogens. This amounts to about 65 kg each second. See more at http://www.worldometers.info. People are expected to work harder, faster and for longer hours. Millions suffer from acute and chronic stress. In 2009 it was reported that chronic ill health and stress in the UK workplace cost employers £100 billion. To help us deal with all these modern challenges we all need to raise our levels of health. We can achieve this by using plants and foods that are high in powerful compounds that boost the immune system and help us detoxify. In addition to making these plants and foods part of our daily lives we need to drink more pure water. We also need to exercise regularly, practice meditation, relaxation techniques, yoga, tai chi etc and receive healing therapies. By using what herbs and foods nature has to offer we can strengthen, rejuvenate and protect our health.Through writing a blog it is my aim to help you delve deeper into the world of natural health and inspire you to move to greater health. I will share with you delicious health filled recipes, natural healing tips, safe and effective herbal formulae along with the latest research and information about natural medicines. and therapies. I would like you to be able to keep yourself and your family in excellent health during these challenging times.
